Founded in March 1959, the Beijing Institute of Geology (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute of Geology") is a multi-disciplinary comprehensive research institution mainly based on uranium mine geology, which has made great contribution to the development of our atomic energy field. It has 7 research institutes of geology and mineral resources, application of remote sensing technology, environmental engineering, analysis and testing, geophysical and geochemical exploration, instrument development and scientific and technological information, 3 domestic product development companies, 12 management offices, and 1 national key Laboratory: National Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Information and Image Analysis Technology; 3 CNNC Key Laboratories: Uranium Exploration and Evaluation Technology, Remote sensing and image Analysis technology, high-level radioactive waste Geological Disposal Evaluation technology; 2 international technology Joint centers: China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Joint Center for Uranium Exploration Technology and Radioactive Waste Technology; At the same time, the nuclear industry geological analysis and testing center.
In 2020, JM's vacuum centrifugal concentrator CV200 has entered the nuclear industry Beijing Institute of Geology, to make contributions to the national nuclear industry.
